Contributing To The Trust
So, how do you get involved?
1. Nomad Business Proportion
This involves contributing a small percentage of funds generated by Nomad for your company. So, If you are an agent of Nomad it would mean a percentage of our commission and if you are a supplier of Nomad it be a percentage of the business that Nomad sends your way.
The categories are:
- Platinum 10%
- Gold 7,5%
- Silver 5%
- Bronze 2,5%
These amounts would be deducted from invoices or payments made by Nomad.
2. Fixed Monthly Contribution:
This involves signing up for a monthly contribution to the Trust. A debit order is preferred for ease of accounting. Upon signing up for one of the options below you will be welcomed into the Nomad African Trust Community.
The categories are:

Gold R1500
- Silver R1000
- Bronze R500
3. One-off Donations
Of course, should the above options not be suitable to you for whatever reason we would gladly accept any donation towards our cause in the following denominations:
R100, R500, R1000, R5000.
How Does It Work?
Well, it's rather simple really. You make contact with us and decide on the form of payment and the amount. We do the rest.
The fixed monthly contribution will be a simple bank transaction. The Nomad Business Portion is a little different; Nomad will deduct the requisite amount amount off invoices, either issued by us or to us.
If you are joining the Nomad African Trust Community you will be receiving a monthly newsletter and be updated regularly on progress, news coverage and the like .
Of course, should you wish to cancel your membership to any one of these programmes, at any time, you are welcome to do so.
Benefits
So, asides from the obvious moral and ethical benefits there are certain other advantages:
- Use of Trust branding: Depending on your status, you will be supplied a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze Logo for your use in your materials.
- Monthly Newsletter: Each month we will send out a newsletter covering the activities of the Trust and the headway being made with various beneficiaries. When relevant, financial data will be included.
- Listing in the contributors directory: In all Trust documentation we will be listing all Fixed or Monthly contributors from Platinum to Bronze status.
- Internet Exposure: The Trust has its own website and has been fortunate in receiving assistance from AATO (African Adventure Tours Online)-a dynamic online travel agency with web marketing skills. We expect our web presence to gain the Trust and its supporters good publicity.
- Coverage in the media: The Trust intends utilising the skills of the trustees in obtaining maximum exposure in the media.
Terms of contribution:
No donation will be accepted which is revocable at the instance of the donor for reasons other than a material failure to conform to the designated purposes and conditions of such donation, including any misrepresentation with regard to the tax deductibility thereof in terms of section 18A: Provided that a donor (other than a donor which is an approved public benefit organisation or an institution, board or body which is exempt from tax in terms of section 10(1)(cA)(i),which has as its sole or principal object the carrying on of any public benefit activity) may not impose any conditions which could enable such donor or any connected person in relation to such donor to derive some direct or indirect benefit from the application of such donation.
The sole object of the public benefit organisation is to carry on one or more public benefit activity as defined in section 30(1) of the Act, in a non-profit manner and with an altruistic or philanthropic intent.
No activity will directly or indirectly promote the economic self-interest of any fiduciary or employee of the organisation otherwise than by way of reasonable remuneration.
At least 85% of such public benefit activity/activities, measured either in cost or time spent, are carried out for the benefit of persons in the Republic of South Africa.
